  • Troubleshooting "Allowed memory size of n bytes exhausted"

When I'm trying to import or export or backup dictionary data, I'm receiving the following message:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of n bytes exhausted (tried to allocate n bytes) in filename on line n.

For Import and Export: try to reduce the number of terms you are trying to process.

Your hosting service does not allow to use more memory than it is allowed in a service plan or defined in a server configuration.

You can try to inclease the limit using .htaccess:

    apache
    1. php_value memory_limit 32M
